Basilisks

Native to Belenosia, basilisks are two-legged, feathered but flightless relatives of dragons that inhabit the deserts, grasslands and woodlands of the fire realm.

Mature basilisks range in size from about eight to about twelve feet tall.  They look like a cross between a snake and a pheasant, can spit venom up to thirty feet, and are fast runners.  Basilisks are the royal symbol of the Brazen Throne of Belenosia.

Commercially traded basilisks products include feathers and venom (magic applications).
